What does the report say about a portal?

In an April 21, 2010 meeting, a witness gave investigators additional details about something she recalled seeing about twenty years earlier. She described a clear, colorless wall, rippling like water and resembling the appearance of a heat wave. She placed the observation in mid-afternoon, after swimming with friends.

The witness estimated a height of thirty to forty feet and a viewing distance of about one hundred feet. Those are recollected estimates, not dimensions measured by the investigation team at the time of the event. The report records her interpretation that the phenomenon was a doorway to another world; it does not demonstrate that interpretation.

Why did the witness call it a portal?

The narrative says the witness was unsure what a portal was until reading a book referred to as the Skinwalker book. Her later explanation should be distinguished from the visual description itself. A person can report an unusual appearance and subsequently attach an explanation learned elsewhere; the report preserves both parts of that account.

The questionnaire is useful because it lets readers separate the extraordinary label from individual observations. It records no self-illumination, no particular color, no accompanying sound or smell, and no movement. A glowing circular doorway or a creature stepping through it would add details this particular account does not establish.

Did investigators verify a gateway?

These pages present an interview narrative and a question-and-answer table. They do not present a contemporaneous instrument measurement or an authenticated photograph proving a gateway. The event was already about two decades old when discussed with investigators. The witness also said the friends who had seen it had since died, limiting the opportunity to interview them.

Publication in a government release confirms that the account appears in the released contractor report. It does not turn the witness's explanation into a confirmed physical finding. The document's ranch name is redacted; the popular Skinwalker Ranch association is discussed in the source notes.

Where can I read the original account?

Open DOW-UAP-D174 at PDF page 13, then continue to page 14 for the remaining questionnaire. Use the PDF viewer's page count rather than the printed page number. Nearby passages discuss other recollections, including lights and humming; those are separate observations and should not be merged into the portal sighting.
